Gestalt
I used the concept closure and continuance of Gestalt in this layout. The dark background may make us feel something mysterious and secret just like the title “The secret sex life of plants”. You can see that the direction of the flowers in the background is from left to right. There are three circles in front also move from left to right, bigger and bigger. Moreover, they also fall from top to bottom same as the title. All of these things may help us to read from left to right, from top down to bottom comfortably. posted by Inann at

This is a very interesting approach to this exercise.
There are certain issues I would like to bring your attention to:
1. If you are going to capitalize the first letter of some of the words in the title, then capitalize all of them, except for the articles (the) and conjunctions (of). Not doing this tells me that Secret and Plants are the only important words in the sentence. I'm sure that wasn't your intention.
2. I wish you had left a little more of a margin around the edge of your body of text, what you have left is very little and feels kind of squished, and mean and ungenerous. Also, you might consider breaking up this huge block of text - it looks a little daunting all in a block like this.
3. Your work on the images is interesting, but I'm wondering if there isn't just a little too much of it. Perhaps some greater contrast between the flower circles and the background image would help. Perhaps you could desaturate the background image and leave the circles in colour?
